"Arriving Soon" Picture Frame

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,
When the doctor handed me our first sonogram picture of our baby I instantly loved him or her. I brought the picture home and put it in a boring frame and decided that our baby needed a better place to be displayed.
I had some great metal numbers from a sale years back at Michaels. I have been hanging on to them forever waiting or the perfect project and I finally found it. The picture frame came from Ross.
The letter stickers came from the dollar section at Target, and they are a lovely shade of dark gray.
I did not want to glue down the picture so I could replace it when I got a new sonogram picture so I used from paper clips.
The final product was just how I wanted it to look like. I just love the frame and most of all the picture of my sweet baby.
I am so happy to have this special picture framed and on my coffee table so I can look at whenever I want to.

We are having a baby!!!!!!!! I can't use enough exclamations points to share how excited we are. We can't wait to meet our little peanut in May AKA our MAYby. Since we don't know what we are having yet we have lovingly labeled this baby our MAYby. I can't wait to finally share some of my finds that are all baby related. I also want to share our story of how this little one came to be.

Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,
What a joy to share all of my treasures with you today because I finally have some fun vintage to share. We were able to hit some sales over the past two weeks, and we finally found that vintage goodness we have been missing lately. The thrift stores have still been a let down when it comes to treasures, but I have found some great clothing pieces that have made up for it.

Mr Joyful Thrifter got to go to this garage sale a few months back, but I was busy so I couldn't go with him. We were driving and saw the signs up again for THE garage sale and we knew we had to stop. I could not believe how much stuff was for sale at this sale.
I picked up a few cute items and several other items I can't share because they are presents. I found this white elephant under a pile of random items he instantly went into my basket.
He just said to me "take me home!"
A yellow polka dot frog plate is just to perfect to leave behind.
I think it would make a great candy plate, or I might put him on my side table to catch random jewelry and bobby pins.
Our last find is an favorite for both Mr Joyful Thrifter and I. We both noticed it and thought it would be way to expensive to bring home. But it sure never hurts to ask the seller. We brought up our basket of small items and the map and asked the real question "How much?" He said the map was $5.00 and the other odds and ends would be $2.00. What a great deal! We were both jazzed.
We need to find the perfect place to hang this beauty.
We visited a local Estate sale where all of the prices were very high, so we walked over to a neighboring house who was hosting a  garage sale. She had a box full of old books and it was so much fun to dig through and see all the different titles.
I fell in love with this little Bible. So sweet and little.
We also found these great apple baskets. Wonderful to give a gift in or to store all sorts of treasures. We brought the baskets and books and few other items to the seller and asked how much she would take for it all and she said does $5.00 work for you guys. We were very quick to answer YES!
I bought these pots and gardening tools awhile back for $2.00, but have yet to pick up some plants for them yet.
.What did you find this week? I would love to see your treasures too! You can post your pictures to the Joyful Treasure Hunting facebook page (link on the side bar).

Fall Happening's Around the House

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,
Fall has arrived at my home and it smells and looks wonderful. I love pumpkin spice candles and filling bowls with candy corn. I had so much fun getting my decorations down and putting them up for the first time in this home. I have packed these decorations up twice now and I am happy that I won't have to for quite some time. Home is what always comes to mind during this season. Warm and cozy home.

I made a new wreath this year, and I just love how it came out. Michaels had a great sale on their fake flowers and leaves, and when I saw the sparkle on these leaves I was sold.
The ladder got a an update too. I found these great sparkly pumpkins this season in the dollar section at target. they are Styrofoam and will look great for years to come.
Happy fall!

Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,
I am so sorry to have been MIA lately, but I have been working on a project that has been taking all of time. I can't wait to share with you all soon what I have been working on. Anyways I hope all of you lovlies are doing well and finding lots of great deals. I have been out to the sales and the thrifties but have not found anything until this weekend.

I was so excited about a local Estate sale that was listed on Craiglist. It was located in the middle of no where and very difficult to find, but once I got there I was so excited to see tons of vintage treasures. My excitement quickly diminished when I discovered a Pyrex bowl for $25.00. What in the world! I only got these little Christmas trees for $1.00. I spent more on gas to get there. It was fun though because the house was chalk full of stuff, but all out of my price range.
There were tons of garage sales this weekend, and we had fun going to all of them that we could. I found these cute utensils for $0.50. I can't wait to bring these out with a summer salad.
The seller at this garage sale was cleaning out his garage, and we were lucky to get these vintage children's books and children's records for $3.00. They are all just so cute.
It felt great to finally get some fun treasures to bring home. I was having withdrawels for sure. What did you find this week? I would love to see your treasures too! You can post your pictures to the Joyful Treasure Hunting facebook page (link on the side bar).
