Happy Things on Friday

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

Happy Friday to you all! What a lovely week it has been. I have gotten to catch up on sleep, go on some wonderful adventures, and enjoy being home.  Tomorrow is going to be such a wonderful new adventure for Mr Joyful Thrifter and I because we are going house shopping. YES!!! We are looking to buy our very first home, and we are so excited. We have a whole bunch of houses to look at tomorrow, and it will be so great to see them in real life. We look at them all the time on line, but seeing them in real life will make this process seem more real to me. Also knowing that one of the houses we look at over the next few months could be our new home. Wow! We have living in an apartment our whole marriage. While I think living in an apartment is a right of passage for newlyweds because every newlywed needs to live in a crummy apartment to appreciate something better :) We are ready to not share walls with our neighbors. I guess all that to be said is WAHOO! house shopping.

Look at these jeans. I can just imagine pairing them with a bright pink top or something colorful to brighten up cold winter days. I also think that these pants make for an interesting DIY project.

I hate staring at our internet router, and I thought that this was such a great idea to hide the ugly device.

What a lovely space to create in. There are some more pictures of this creative space, and I was very inspired.

This is such a dreamy picture. I love pictures about reading books.

I hope your weekend starts off great!

  1. What a great idea to hide the internet router!! Mine sits on my bedside table (yuck!) so I might give this a go!

  2. I have to agree, using a book cover to hide the internet router is sheer genius!

  3. That is a good idea, I have one too and a big clump of wires from xbox, wii and playstations too, I hide them all with a big drum in front of them. It's decorative and serves a purpose!
