Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

Not having a job opens up many opportunities to visit some swap meets I have never gotten to go to before. So much fun to just hop in my little car and go on an adventure on a Wednesday afternoon to the Ventura Swap Meet. This swap meet was by far the best swap meet I have been to in a really long time. It was full of venders and the prices were very reasonable at some of the booths. Plus getting out of the heat was a wonderful treat too.

I had so much fun driving down to Ventura listening to girl music.

The day was very gloomy, but was perfect for me.

I was having so much fun!

Lots of wonderful treasures to be found.

After the swap meet I walked on main street enjoying the weather. I just love this old movie theatre. The colors are lovely pastels.

Now onto the treasures from my wonderful adventure.

I finally found my first Pyrex butter dish in perfect condition. I was overjoyed to find this beauty. The sweet lady I bought it from had a lot of other lovely treasures as well. She let this Pyrex dish go for only $3.00.

The lovely green clock was actually found at the Salvation Army. It plugs into the wall and keeps very good time, and I got it for $1.59.  This old wind up clock was found at an awesome booth with a ton of great treasures, and even better prices. He pretty much charged me $1.00 for everything I bought from him.

Look at those wonderful mint green clock hands. This clock was made in germany.

The next few items came from the same booth as the little clock above, and of course it was only $1.00.

Doilies for only $1.00.

This is my absolute favorite find of the day. I felt like I found this book at such perfect timing as I found it right after I quit my job to become a stay at home wife. So perfect. The book is just so sweet too. This little book was $2.00, and I thought that was a fine price.

Look at this cute festive pin. I just fell in love with his silly smile. Only $0.25 is a perfect price to pay for this cutie.

This sweet pair of gloves caught my eye on the dollar table of a lovely stall holder. She had all sorts of vintage clothes and purses.

My second favorite find of the day is this wonderful baby blue phone. It was $3.00 and a perfect friend for my pretty pink princess phone.

I did a little photo shoot with both cute phones.

I found these mint green knives at my local swap meet for $2.00, and they make for a really fun table setting.

I do hope you all had a wonderfully thrifty week!

Smiles,

Here are the lovely sites I enjoy linking up with. We get to share more fun that way:

  1. Great stuff at even better prices! I LOVE the knives - that color green is my favorite! How awesome is it that the clock is labeled a "Blessing"? Good for you! I started working for myself last year - cut my hours majorly, and even though we have less money - I feel better, less stressed, and a lot more blessed! Thanks for sharing!

  14. I love all your treasures... the phones are adorable... but I'm a clock lover, so those are my favorites. I wanted to share something with you about the green dots and the green hands on your Blessing clock. It's an alarm clock, and when new, the green would glow in the dark so you could tell what time it was at night without turning on your bedside light. Have you checked to see if they still glow?

have a wonderful fall day! Dixie
