Treasure Hunt Finds Part 2

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

    Here is part two of my wonderful thrifty weekend. I still just love all of my treasures.

Another frog, but I must admit this one is definitley my favorite one! Its color is so lovely, and the shocking price of $0.25 was so awesome! I see these lovely frogs in various colors selling at antique stores for $20 + dollars sometimes, so to find one for a quarter was so exciting!

Sweet picture frame that matches these bird frames exactly, I only paid $1.00 for this little frame. I love the little picture inside as well. So vintage and wonderful.

Wonderful brass vase for $1.00. The above frame and this vase both came from my Friday sale mentioned in my previous post. I just love the treasures found at this fun unexpected sale. 

Wonderful kodak camera for only $0.75! I am so excited to add this little guy to my collection. 

This was bought only because its cute. I have no purpose for this little bowl, but i just fell in love with it. I paid $2.15 for it. As I was paying for it I thought to myself, "great another bowl, since I don't have any of those lying around" However this little guy still came home.

Straw container was $1.00 and so was the vase. The vase was my last find from the Friday sale. 

Wonderfully yummy cook books for $0.75 each. 

And finally my largest find of the weekend...

So, just for fun, who can guess how much I paid for this chest? I will reveal the price on my next Treasure Hunt Finds post.

Treasure Hunt Finds Part 1

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

     Mr Joyful Thrifter and I decided to surprise his mom for her birthday, so we drove to Hemet to enjoy the weekend with her. We decided to hit some garage sales on Saturday, and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Plus we all had so much fun at the sales.

Because I found so many lovelies this weekend I am going to break my treasure hunt finds into two posts. One today and one later in the week. JUST FOR FUN!

Ok I am going to show you my FAVORITE find first. I was driving home from work on Friday and I was chatting with Mr Joyful thrifter on the phone and I see a garage still open at 5:00pm on a Friday afternoon. I hit the breaks and turn around.  The ladies at this sale were so pleasant, and the prices were fantastic. This awesome red phone was $1.00.

My vintage desk is getting so cute with all of these wonderful treasures I have found...

Yay! cheerful new Pyrex. My first snowflake Pyrex. I am going to pack away the snow flake Pyrex and bring it out only at Christmas time. Salvation army was 50% off everything in the store so I paid $2.50 for one of the snowflake dishes and the orange one as well, and the divided dish was $4.00. I just love them. 

More treasures from my Friday night Garage sale and Salvation Army's 50% off sale. The white spool was $1.00 and the green one was $1.25. I don't know why I bought these, but I just really liked them. 

Sweet vintage Santa candle for $1.00. 

Ok I just love this owl!!! He is wearing the cutest suit. The original price tag was $1.00, but the sweet man who owned the thrift shop gave him to me for $0.25.

Precious little birds for $1.00. They are so sweet, and look good any where.

Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

   It feels so great to be back! I feel like time got away from me and I have not been able to thrift in such a long time, but this weekend yielded some wonderful treasures...

This is one of my favorite board games. I found it at the swap meet for $1.00, and Mr Joyful Thrifter and I have already played it. Of course he won, but we had a great time playing

All five movie reels for $1.00 each. The guy I bought these from was so excited that I was interested in them. He was glad I was going to use them as decorations in my apartment. 

Vintage christmas ornaments. I just fell in love with these little beauties. I got all of these ornaments for $1.00.

Yes those price tags read $0.05 each. I couldn't resist!

Fire King mugs for $0.10 each. I am not a fire king girl, but these were so cheap. I had to have them. 

Lovely old Pyrex! I just love the etching on this glass. Its so lovely. I only like the clear dishes if they have some design on them. I paid $3.50 for this beauty.

I just love that peter rabbit! I got this book for $0.25. Such a sweet book too.

Treasure Hunt finds

Hello Fello Thrifters and Friends,

   I spent most of my usual Saturday thrifting time at this fun event with my mom and a three other lovely ladies...

I had such a blast at the show and being in Long Beach that Mr Joyful Thrifter and I drove down to Long Beach the very next day to enjoy the beach and find some new thrift stores. I found only a few things, but had a great time.

All three of my finds are Pyrex! Not a surprise. The little "watcha ma call it" at the top was $2.39, and I need to look it up in my Pyrex collecting book to see what its purpose is. The little yellow bowl was $2.00, and the lid was $1.00.

I saw this awesome sign outside of a boutique in Long beach...

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed our weekend adventures and finished our day with this site...
