Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

Hope you all had a lovely day! Today started out with gloomy weather, which to me was a perfect way to start out Saturday Garage sales. I had the perfect weather but the garage sales were absolute duds. Not one thing was purchased. After a lovely visit at church with some ladies I was able to go back out with Mr Joyful thrifter to try and remedy our morning of garage sales. WE SUCCEEDED!!! I finally found some treasures.

My Aunts neighborhood was having a garage sale, and she told us to stop by if we had some time. Glad we did because I found these lovely vintage spice jars. I paid $1.00 each, which I knew was a great deal because I have seen these go for atleast $5.00-$8.00 a piece on ebay.

When I saw this bear I instantly picked him up and thought he was the cutest thing ever. I squealed with excitement and showed my husband all of his fun details. I put him down and continued looking at the other items at the sale. I decided to only purchase the above spice jars and head out. As I was paying for the spice jars the lady told me that she would love it if I would take the bear. I gladly accepted, and I am so glad I get to give him a new home. Oh! the tag says his name is "Bearlock Holmes," It just gets cuter.

I bought these sweet brooches for $0.50 each. The lady who sold them to was quite the character and wanted me to buy all sorts of things "because you know since the depression things have been hard." I didn't quite know what to do with her so I gave her my dollar and quickly walked away overjoyed with the sweet pins I bought from her.

All of the following items were purchased for $2.00. The man who sold them to me was such a sweet heart and gave me a fantastic deal. Some other people who were asking for pricing got crazy prices, but he was so kind to me and gave me all of these goodies for so little money.

I have seen so many ladies collecting vintage powder cases, and when I saw this one and I had to get it. Not sure where I am going to put it, but a fun vintage display in the bathroom might be sweet.

These lovelies are done with such care and detail. I can't wait to display them.

Super fun scarf.

I love doilies and fun fabric. I thought this one combined both.

Look at the details inside these pattern books!

I hope you all had a thrifty weekend, and found lots of treasures.

Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter
