Joyful Creations

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

It is such a joy to have a craft room where I can create fun treasures for my home. Thank you Mr Joyful Thrifter for giving me the den to call my craft room! I have been having so much letting my mind go wild with all the things I have been wanting to make that I kept stored in my memory so I wouldn't forget them. (Ok fine I won't lie my memory is not that great so I use the assistance of Pinterest to do all the real work in storing my creative future project ideas)

Mr Joyful Thrifter and I went to old town Burbank recently and I love to stop in Urban outfitters to see what cool stuff they have out. They find the strangest books and things for the eyes to see. Anyways I came across this sweet treasure, and so wanted to take it home.

After closer examination I realized that I could easily reduplicate it and it would look just as cute. Plus being the thrifty miss that I am could not bring myself to buy it. When I got all of my craft supplies home from my mom's house I found all of my floss and knew what I was going to work on right away.

The first step was finding a cute font to trace onto my fabric

After I chose the font I dragged out my light box and taped my saying onto the top

I used a black fine tip marker to trace this sweet phrase onto the fabric. The light box was a life saver for me to easily copy the font onto my fabric.

Next I began the fun part, stitching the phrase onto my lovely blue polka dot fabric

Yay! It came together so quickly once I got going. The only thing that was missing is a heart. That was easily fixed, but I needed to go to the craft store since I did not have red floss

This project brought so many loving thoughts of my sweet Mr Joyful Thrifter who "Owl Always Love"

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Enjoy this holiday and remember to be thankful for all of the lovely blessings that surround you every day.

Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter
