We are loving our new home so much. It has been such a joy to live in this home. Things I have learned so far about living in our house and moving:
1. This house makes some funny noises! When the wind blows especially.
2. Cooking in my new kitchen is so much fun.
3. Unpacking boxes is way more fun then packing them.
The biggest thing I learned during this move is that I have A LOT of Pyrex. I knew that my collection was large, but it did not hit me how LARGE until we packed it all up and then unpacked it.
My kitchen was covered in Pyrex for days until I could find new homes for it all. If I am being honest I have yet to find homes for it all yet, but hopefully in time I will have new storage for it.
Have you ever had to move THE PYREX before?
Smiles,
Pin It Now!
Smiling here! (I think I may be in the same predicament the next time WE move - and I'm not NEARLY as you as you, so will probably be DOWN-sizing! Makes me think it's time for me to weed out and refine my "collection"!)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy yours - and I can't wait to find out what new storage/display solutions you come up with.
I love pyrex, and lately adding some enamel. I don't even want to think about moving it :)
ReplyDeleteYour collection looks like mine! I actually have no more room for pyrex! Isn't it crazy how we love it so much??
ReplyDeleteI am actually buying a mid century hutch to make more room for more pyrex!
Love your Pyrex collection! I downsized some of mine last year and sold it to a friend for her shop. I now can store and use what I have and it makes me happy! Moving is so much work but having a new home is wonderful!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
How great to be moving into your new home, moving glass, not so great. I am jealous, I love the big yellow and pink mixing bowls! Nice collection.
ReplyDeleteYou have a great collection that will surely make fellow Pyrexics a little envious.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new kitchen and home!
We were in our local thrift store the other day. I picked up a large pyrex platter (????) that was white with the blue flower on it. It was marked 78 cents. I said right out loud.... "too bad I don't know where my blogger girl lives... or she would be receiving this through the mail...." HA!
