Another lovely day at the sales. I went solo as Mr Joyful Thrifter took some much needed rest. I however made sure I borrowed his truck just in case I brought something large home. You must always be prepared when you are a thrfit store junky. You never want to miss out on a good deal cause you brought the little car.
These are the lovely treasures I found today
I don't know why I bought these scissors but I did. I thought they were very unique looking. Who knows where I will put them, but I was thinking they might make a cool decoration in my craft room. I paid $2.00 for them.
I paid more for the old book then I normally do, but it was in wonderful condition and the cover had such lovely flowers. Unfortunately there is no year noted in the book. I paid $3.00 for it and it was still a good deal.
The illustrations are so pretty
Another old book, but this one I bought because it was so much fun. I only paid $0.50 for it. Plus it has great cartoons through out the whole book.
A wooden spool for $0.99. I am not sure if it is old but it is so cute.
I saw this lovely quilt hanging on a fense and fell in love with it. I looked around for a bit and finally decided to ask how much it was. I thought it would be highly over priced. The guy running the sale said how about a buck? SOLD! Who wouldn't buy a hand made quilt for $1.00?
The duck is my favorite
Wonderfully sweet yellow shelf for $4.99. I can't wait to use this in my craft room.
Hope you all had a wonderfully thrifty week!
Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter

You did very well on your shopping outing. I have never seen scissors like that before. That was a steal on the quilt.
ReplyDeleteNice finds! You know the book is old if it has no date. I did some quick looking and it seems like your book of religious poems might be worth $20. I could not see the author, so that's a guess, but check on abebooks.com.
