I found this book at a Goodwill in Ventura, and wanted to know if any of you fellow thrifters have gotten to browse through it...
This book is full of beautiful pictures of chippy, old, vintage wonderful goodness!! If you get an opportunity to look through it take the chance. Here is a little preview...
I was cleaning out a few cabinets this week and came across a forgotten swap meet purchase...
I found these lovely little tea tins and strainers. The lady was so glad to find someone who was excited to own them that she gave them to me for $0.50
And now for some lovely gifted love. A sweet friend of The Joyful Thrifter found these cards and bought them for me just because. I know they are not a thrifted treasure or vintage, but they were a special treasure and that is also a key part of this little blog.
Have you been given a gifted treasure recently? It is a lovely surprise to brighten your day.
Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter

I have that pink tea tin! Oh my goodness, I forgot about that little treasure... My mom gave it to me when I was 7 or so and I kept smaller treasures in it! It's in my keepsakes box, which is a vintage green suitcase. Now I want to crack it open and go through all my memories! Haven't gone through it in a couple years...
ReplyDeleteThe full set of tins is so beautiful, love the colors!
Ooh lovely items, Im also loving those little tins - what a cracking bargain! When I was backpacking round the world we stopped off in Hawaii and I went to a 'swap meet' - was brill, bagged a huge 100th anniversary of the teddy bear teddy for $4 - posting him home cost a bit but everyone loves him and he reminds me of my travels :o) Scarlett x
ReplyDeleteI have that book! I love to browse through it for inspiration and just to *drool* over all the vintage loveliness. Those tea tins are amazing, you should display them out in the open if you have room.
