I just love some of the pictures I have seen on the internet of fabric framed in sewing hoops. So I decided to give my hand at the project. I just love how it came out, and it's such an inexpensive work of art.
The supplies are very simple for this project:
- Beautiful fabric of your choice
- Embroidery hoops in various sizes
- Glue Gun
I chose 5 fabrics all with different colors and patterns for my hoop frames. I also picked one of each hoop size for variety.
Oh how I love beautiful fabric.
After I ironed my fabric to get all those ugly creases out I began my project
Put the hoop on your fabric
Once it is on pull all the edges to make it taut so there are no ripples or wrinkles
Next trim fabric around the whole hoop leaving just enough to glue it down
I used my glue gun to tack down the fabric. I have also seen people cut a piece of card board and slide it into the opening, or glue some felt to the back. All of those options work well but I chose to hot glue mine because it seemed to be the easiest method for me.
Look how cute they all look stacked up together!
Once your hoops are all together its time to hang them up and admire your new work of art!
TA DA! The final project came out so lovely! I also added a few other pieces just for fun sake.
This little nook is what sold me on this apartment, and I just love how cute it looks with my new works of art.
I love this little girl, and I love reminding my husband how much I love him!
This project is a wonderful easy one, and makes a wall so cheerful!
Have a great Thursday!
