Joyful Snap Shots - The Drive Home

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

Do you have a drive that you just love? A drive that brings back wonderfully sweet memories, relaxes you, or is just fun to drive on? Well my drive to my parents house is all of those things and more. I love going "home" because its one of my favorite places. Home is where mom and dad are. Home is where there is always good food, and love from mom. Home is where I grew up, and home is where I go when I need to escape from the world.  I went "Home" last weekend, and I took the scenic route. I stopped at everything that I have seen a million times and took pictures.

Vasquez rocks is such a beautiful site as I go home.

I have driven by this fence so many times and never realized how cute it is.

I stopped at this adorable cafe on my way to home, and picked up some yummy sweet treats to share with mom and dad.

This is muffler man, and he welcomes you home. (He lights up at night!)

This is "Home." The door is always open, and mom will welcome you in with open arms. WELCOME!!!

You can't tell in this picture but there is a huge white spot on the wall that I painted when I was little trying to help dad. This house is full of memories and love.

I hope your drives are lovely this week!

Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter

  1. I stop quite often and take pictures. Sometimes I will see a great image but there is no place to pull over alongside the road. Thanks for sharing your images ~

  3. Such a beautiful vista! I know exactly how you feel- when we drive east (from IL) towards NY/NJ, the stress just melts away. I know I'm nearing all our relatives and the beach!
