Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters and Friends,

What a perfectly lovely week, and some lovely treasures were found! Its always nice when you have a great week at work, and then enter into a wonderful weekend. Saturday morning would be listed as a perfect morning. My sweet husband woke up early brewed some coffee, set up our two chairs in front of the window, put books that we were reading at our feet, all so we could have a quiet morning enjoying the peaceful sound of the drip dropping rain. I have the best husband ever! We only found a few treasures this weekend, and a few left over treasures of last weekend.

When I went down the pots and pans aisle at Goodwill I spied this instantly, and I knew that no one else in the store knew what it was. I was ecstatic to find a Pyrex "hugger cradle" for $1.99! Then to discover that the 50% off color was red and so was my item made me even more excited! I got this mint condition cradle for $0.99.

I am not sure what dish it went with originally so I put a dish that I thought looked really nice in it.

I found this wonderful craft book at Goodwill today for $2.99. The ideas are wonderful, and I plan on trying several of them.

This elf is about the cutest thing ever.

I bought this juice pitcher at the swap meet for $2.00. It is from Anchor Hocking, and looks so delightful with juice inside of it.

I love the color!

My last find were these tin plates. The lady who sold them to me was unsure as to what they went to. They have strange circle indents in each corner, so I am very curious to know what its original purpose was. She had a whole stack and said she would sell 2 for $1.00, which was great because I only had $1.00 left of cash dollars. I have a great Joyful Creations post in mind for these beauties.

Hope you all had a wonderfully thrifty week!

Smiles,
The Joyful Thrifter

  8. I think I read once that those Anchor Hocking pitchers were sometimes given away with Tang juice promotions... Not sure if it's this specific style though.
