Treasure Hunt Finds

Hello Fellow Thrifters Thrifters and Friends,

I finally came home with some wonderful finds! Wahoo!! We went to sooo many garage sales to find nothing. At the very end we finally found some lovely treasures!

I found this really pretty decanter. I have been looking for one for quite some time, but the ones I liked were rather expensive. I found this pretty for $1.00 at a garage sale.
You might assume that I wanted this decanter to put drinks in, but quite the opposite actually. Here is what I actually planned on doing with my new decanter. It now houses our mouth wash on our bathroom counter.
At the same sale I found this sweet Brownie camera. I have been on the look out for one of these for a long time, so I was so excited to find this cutie. They priced it at $5.00, but I offered $3.00 and they accepted!
Two more hangers. Wahoo! Now I have all the hangers I need to finish my project. I got both hangers for $4.00.
Sometimes I think that I intentionally buy things that are unusual just to shock Mr Joyful Thrifter. This is one of my more unusual finds. Yep I bought a glass hand, and I paid $4.00 for it. I thought it was really cool, and will look lovely displaying my jewelry.
My last find is a must have for my little bum. I have had a very uncomfortable chair in my craft room for awhile, and then I found this guy. I really liked that it is made out of wood and not plastic. I appreciate something made out of good materials. Plus I got it for $5.00.
Have you found any lovely treasures recently? If so please link up pictures to my Facebook page, or leave your blog link so I can enjoy in your fun.

Smiles,
Here are the lovely sites I enjoy linking up with. We get to share more fun that way:

  1. I LOVE the idea of using the decanter for mouth wash ... and can't wait to know what your project with the pant hangers are (I have several and would like some ideas of alternative uses).

  2. Great idea for using the decanter for mouth wash. I read a decorating article one time that stated you should always put your everyday items in pretty containers. It makes everything so much more elegant.

  11. Cute idea for the decanter. I want to use a beer bottle for a soap dispenser at my sink if I can find a pretty one (blue one maybe). Your camera is awesome too. Can't beat the price!

  12. I started taking pictures with my Brownie camera in the early 60s just like this. Grandma gave me the instructions- "Hold your camera down at your belly button - put the object in the middle and CLICK!" Can you get film for that now????
